What is San Margo?
San Margo is a modern wellness and beauty brand offering naturally-based, high-performance, microbiome-friendly products - immaculately formulated, beautifully designed, and wrapped with care. Thoughtfully created for all, and gentle enough for sensitive life stages like pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause.
We call it: Modern Wellness: For your inside, for your outside, and for the outside.
What is Expanded Wellness
Expanded wellness means being informed and intentional about how you care for your mind, body, and soul - inside and out. We believe that with the right tools and knowledge, you can enhance your healthspan, your natural beauty, and your everyday wellbeing. It’s a journey. A daily practice. A carta de amor to yourself.
What does clean, effective care mean?
At San Margo, we believe the products you use every day - both inside and out - head to toe - should make a difference. They should support your health and wellness, be ethically made, and feel glorious to use.
Clean
We believe “clean” means consciously formulated - and being just as discerning about what’s left out as what goes in. We avoid ingredients known to be irritating, harsh, or questionable, and choose those that are gentle, compatible, well-tolerated, and effective. We prioritise ethical sourcing, safety, and transparency, favouring smarter, gentler alternatives that nourish, protect, and deliver high-performance results.
Effective
We believe your entire body system deserves the same level of care as your face. That’s why we use facial-grade actives and scientifically proven ingredients to deliver visible results and lasting nourishment. Where evidence-backed synthetic ingredients can enhance safety, performance, or offer a more sustainable alternative to a natural counterpart, we include them with intention.

Is San Margo sustainable?
We know no brand is without impact — and that ‘sustainable’ means different things to different people.
At San Margo, we prioritise conscious formulation, responsible sourcing, and low-impact packaging. Our products are made in small batches, designed for sensitive skin and sensitive life stages, and housed in recyclable glass or bio-based plastic wherever possible.
We’re proud to be part of the Australian Recycling Label (ARL) Program, making recycling easier for our customers.
We’re committed to transparency — about the steps we’ve taken, and the ones still ahead.
Is San Margo cruelty-free and vegan?
We are Certified PETA Global Animal Test – Free, meaning we do not conduct, commission, or permit animal testing on our ingredients, formulations, or finished products - anywhere in the world.

ORDERS & SHIPPING
How much is delivery?
Free standard shipping is available for orders $99 and above. For orders less than $99, standard shipping depends on your location.
Where do you deliver to?
We currently ship to the following countries: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, and United States.

Can I cancel or change my order/shipping address?
Email us at hello@sanmargo.com as soon as possible.
We’ll do our best to help before your order is processed.
When will my order be dispatched?
Please allow 2-3 business days for us to receive and process your order. Orders received after 12PM New Zealand Time (NZT) will begin processing the next business day.
Where can I find my tracking information?
You can find tracking information of your order in My Account or in your shipping confirmation email. Please note that it can take some carriers up to 1 business day after an order has been shipped to show updates in tracking.
Where do you ship from?
We ship from our warehouse, with love, in New Zealand.
What if an item arrived broken or damaged?
Please email us at hello@sanmargo.com within 2 weeks of delivery, including your order number, a photo of the item and a brief description of the damage. Please keep our environment in mind, and respect that we only send out replacements if a product is damaged to the point that it is unusable.
Our team will assess the damage and offer either appropriate compensation or a replacement, depending on the severity.
What if I was sent the wrong item or something is missing from my order?

SUBSCRIPTIONS & DISCOUNTS
Can I use more than one discount code?
Only one discount code can be used per order and cannot be combined with other promotions or with subscriptions.
Can discount codes be used on bundles?
Discounts do not apply to bundles, as they are already curated with considered value.
How does the subscription program work?
- Go to your formula(s) product page.
- Select a delivery preference hat aligns with your usage routine — every 2, 3, 4, or 6 months.
- Manage your subscription anytime via your account. We’ll send a reminder 5 days before each billing date. To make changes, please update your preferences before billing to ensure they apply to your next order.

Which products are included in the subscription program?
All formulas are eligible for recurring subscription. Tools, custom sets, gift sets, gift cards, lifestyle items, travel sizes and minis are excluded from this program.
My item(s) is out of stock! How will this affect my subscription?
We will delay your next subscription charge until the items are back in stock. You will receive a notification informing you about the out-of-stock and the next charge date adjustment.
What if I need my next order sooner/later than the scheduled date?
You can adjust your subscription at any time by logging into your account.

Can I apply a discount code to a subscription order?
Because subscription orders are already discounted, discount codes cannot stack with subscription orders.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
What is your return policy?
We truly hope you love your San Margo products.
If you’re unsure which product is right for you, we’re always happy to help—email us anytime at hello@sanmargo.com for personalised guidance. Our minis and travel sizes are also perfect for trial use.
Before purchasing, please check the product pages for full ingredient lists, and review them carefully to ensure there are no ingredients you’re sensitive to.
But if you're not completely satisfied, we accept returns within 30 days of purchase.
Can I return a product if I have already opened it?
Yes - as long as less than 1/4 of the product has been used, we’ll gladly accept your return.
How are refunds processed?
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
Please allow up to 2 weeks to be credited to your original form of payment.
Please note: Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Do you offer exchanges?
If an order is already dispatched we are unable to exchange your order through our system. We recommended simply returning your items and place a new order.
Can I return items purchased at one of your stockists?
If you purchased your product through one of our stockists, please contact them directly for assistance. We're unable to process refunds or returns for items not purchased directly from sanmargo.com.

Where are your products produced?
Our cosmetics and wellness products are designed and made in Auckland, New Zealand.
Tools and accessories are designed in New Zealand and ethically produced internationally.
Do you offer a sampling program?
We offer refillable minis and travel sizes - perfect for trying a product before committing to the full size.
Where can I find ingredient listings?
Full ingredient lists are available on each product page under “Full Ingredient List”.

Where can I find recycling information?
Certified ARL recycling instructions for each packaging component are available on each product page under “Packaging & How to Recycle”. You’ll also find the ARL on the outer packaging of each product.
What skin types are San Margo products suitable for?
Our formulations are designed to be gentle, effective, and suitable for all skin types - including sensitive and sensitised skin.
Which products are best for sensitive skin?
All San Margo products are dermatologist-tested and completely fragrance-free - meaning they are formulated without any added fragrance or essential oils to support even the most sensitive or sensitised skin.
Please note: Everyone's skin is unique, and reactions to certain ingredients may vary. We recommend performing a patch test first and/or consulting with your dermatologist or healthcare professional if you have any concerns or specific conditions before use.
What are the products' shelf life / expiry?
Unopened, San Margo products have a 24-month shelf life when stored correctly—in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
Once opened, we recommend using your product within the timeframe shown on the “Period After Opening” (PAO) symbol on the packaging (e.g. “12” indicates 12 months). This ensures freshness and maximum efficacy. Brief exposure to heat or cold won’t affect efficacy, though you may notice natural variations in texture or colour - this is completely normal for clean formulations made without synthetic dyes or stabilisers
Some products may vary in tone due to natural variation in harvest, crop, or region - a beautiful reminder of their pure, plant-based origins.
How should I store my products?
To maintain freshness and efficacy, store your products in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight. Always keep lids tightly closed after use, and store bottles upright where possible.
Are your products non-comedogenic?
Yes, San Margo products are non-comedogenic.
The item I wanted is sold out. Can you notify me if it comes back?
Of course! To join the waitlist for a sold-out item, just head to the product page and click ‘Notify Me When Available’.
A pop-up will appear — enter your email and click ‘Notify Me’. If the item comes back in stock, we’ll send you an email so you’re first to know.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?
Absolutely. Your security is a priority. All payments are processed through Shopify Payments, a trusted and secure gateway that supports all major credit cards.

What payment forms do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards - Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UnionPay - as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Do you accept gift cards?
Yes, we accept digital gift cards as a form of payment. You can purchase them here.
