For an independent New Zealand brand just one year old, it’s incredibly meaningful to have our products recognised across three very different areas of modern beauty and wellbeing.
What are the Clean + Conscious Awards?
Founded in Australia in 2019, the Clean + Conscious Awards recognise products that combine efficacy with responsible formulation, ingredient integrity and ethical business practices.
Unlike popularity contests or consumer-voted awards, entries undergo an independent judging process considering product performance, ingredients, sustainability, innovation and overall consumer experience, including hands-on product testing.
For consumers, the awards provide another layer of independent assessment when choosing products. For us, they’re particularly meaningful because the recognition extends across three very different San Margo formulations.
Why these wins matter
One of the things we're most proud of is that the six awards span three very different areas of modern beauty and wellbeing, from facial skincare to intimate care and postpartum support.

The expert judging panel praised both the formulation and the experience of using it, from its silky, luxurious texture to the hydrated, dewy results. Judge Emma Freeman said:

Judges also highlighted San Margo's considered ingredient standards, elevated packaging and the responsible practices built into the business from the beginning.

Gold Winner + Editor's Choice | Best Intimate / Sexual Wellbeing
Created to bring luxurious, considered care to intimate skin, Glorioso helps support hydration, comfort and the skin barrier through everyday life and periods of change, including pregnancy and menopause.
Judge Jordie Pie named Glorioso her “personal favourite”, praising its silky texture, ingredients and elevated branding, while Kat Snowden described it as “one of the best intimate oils I have used.”
Across the panel, judges highlighted its smooth, non-greasy feel, premium experience and San Margo's transparent approach to sustainability and ethical business.
Extraordinaria Firming Body Oil
Silver Winner + Editor's Choice | Best Postpartum Support
Developed for bodies through periods of change, Extraordinaria combines antioxidant-rich botanical oils with CoQ10 and squalane to deeply moisturise and support the appearance of supple, healthy-looking skin before, during and after pregnancy.
This recognition feels particularly special because members of the judging panel tested Extraordinaria through pregnancy and postpartum. Brooke Wilson described using it on her full-term bump, praising its luxurious feel and fast absorption, while Sara Gordon said:
